God's Waterfall of Inspiring and Timely Poetry

Welcome: Poetry is often about life's experiences; sometimes poets write fantasy verse to humor mom's, dad's, kid's, friends, relatives and the public.  I will share with you some of my best poetry as we mature together in this awesome adventure of living.  I believe that little children need to be encouraged to explore positive, wholesome, avenues to growth, self-confidence and self-esteem.  All kids have "hidden" talents that need encouragement through daily nurturing.  Positive adult role models can do much to bring out each child's very best character and development.  This will enable them to become super siblings, mentors, friends, relatives, neighbors, employees, church and community club members! God bless you in your daily walk and relationships.  Quality time brings quality results.

Biographical Sketch of C. Ray Tucker, Poet

  •  I am excited about reaching the summit of my long time goal to share my poetry.
  •  I am in the pre-publication stage of my first poetry book,
  • "The Tender Grass of Poetry."
  •   I have lived in South Georgia since Dec. 1980.  I was born August 17, 1943 in Glendale, California where I attended Herbert Hoover High School, graduating in 1961.   I have been writing poetry since 1965. In 1961, I attended Brigham Young University where I converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.   I was called to be a Mormon Missionary in 1963, serving in New York State and New Jersey until winter, 1965.  Further study of the L.D.S. doctrines, involving their belief that there is more than one God and that we can attain exaltation becoming a God also, belief in Polygamy and child conception in the hereafter, caused me to become disinchanted and my voluntary excommunication was carried out in Knoxville, Tennessee.   In 1969, I converted to The Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, headquarters in Independence, Missouri.  They have changed their name to Community of Christ.  Their belief is that some of L.D.S. (Salt Lake City, Utah) teachings are unbibical and an abomination to God!   I attended their Graceland College, Lamoni, Iowa.  My major was Sociology.
  • In December 1980, my wife, Dorothy Wigley Tucker and I moved to South Georgia.  I retired from Chaparral Boats, Inc., Nashville, Georgia, July 10, 2006.  The RLDS Church is not located anywhere close.  So I am now a member of The United Methodit Church.  My family heritage is Masonic.  I am a humble Master Mason, a member of Duncan Lodge #234, Nashville, Georgia.
  • The name of my business is Southern Poetry Creations.  My poetic verse is either whitty, straightforward or serious..  Perhaps Visitors to this site would like to view a sample paragrah of each poem, to aid in their decision to order.

In the photograh below is my beautiful wife (center photo) who suddenly went home with Our Lord on July 3, 2005.  Dotty's two lovely friends, Tara and Amanda  pictured with her are the daughters of Bill and Louise Hicks of Berrien County, Nashville, Georgia.  They loved "Dotty" so very much and always uplifted her.  I will forever be grateful to these sweet and beautiful people. Dotty was a native of Rome, Georgia and served faithfully as a member of The Order of The Eastern Star.
