Memories We Keep
Memories We Keep
Ya'll come on with me and take a quick peak;
I'll share with you some memories we keep.
Age 1
When I was a boy of one year old,
I was very bold; the story is told.
Age 2
At the toddler age of only a very ripe two,
passing elders 'bout to choke, gasped, "Pee-U!"
Age 3
But three years of lively, spirited living
put me in the f-a-s-t lane of royal fibbing.
Age 4
And four years, nothing short of hanky-panky;
has made me very confident and quite swanky!
Age 5
Yet, five years hasn't made me an all-out bore;
mother still waits on my 'first' chore!
Age 6
Age six has given me many a hard licks,
'cause this youth is always up to many tricks!
Age 7
My fast approaching age of, guess what...seven,
surely reveals that I wasn't sent from Heaven!
Age 8
Naturally, my next age rhymes with late;
since I'm never on time; just my fate!
Age 9
Now at age nine, I always say, "Never mind!"
I am anything but sweet, gentle and kind.
Age 10
When I was at the youthful age of a winning ten;
nobody wanted to claim me, especially, next of kin!
